Directions 1 - preferred route for first time users

From Carnival City travel on the R23 / Heidelberg road towards Heidelberg for 14.8 km. At the intersection turn right onto the R550 for 8.1km. At this intersection you turn right onto the R103 for 5.0 km. You will find the Rooikraal signage on your right hand side. Turn right and keep right. This gravel road leads you into Rooikraal shooting range.

Directions 2 - use at own risk in the rainy season

Travel on the N3 towards Heidelberg. When you get to the Total service stations get off and go thru the parking area. Before you get back on the onramp you turn left and you will see a gravel road that goes into the veld. This is the area that when it rains becomes un-driveable. BIG pools of water forms.  Just follow this gravel road until you reach the next tar road R103 that runs adjacent to the N3. Turn left and after +/- 1km find the turn off and big sign boards to Rooikraal shooting range.  Turn right and keep right. This gravel road leads you to Rooikraal shooting range.
